Cherishair by Haruka Terry is a cozy, modern Japanese hair salon in Manhattan’s NoMad neighborhood. We offer a calm, relaxing space where you can unwind and leave feeling beautiful.
We specialize in Japanese straightening, soft spiral perms, layer cuts, and non-bleach balayage — using Milbon, Arimino and Hoyu products imported from Japan, with every formula customized for your hair.
Consultations — perm / straightening / bleach process
Any long process such as Japanese straightening, perm, balayage, or double process requires a consultation before booking an appointment. Please text or direct-message the salon your hair chemical history for the past few years, plus a photo of your current hair and inspiration photos.
Perms and Japanese straightening: if your hair is bleached, highlighted, or highly damaged, we are not going to be able to provide the service. If you have a different chemical history, please visit for an in-person consultation.
